Dr. Alfred G. Childers is a principal and the President of Administration
at Magellan Laboratories Incorporated which provides analytical and physical
testing services to the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to starting Magellan
Laboratories, Dr. Childers developed and managed the aerosol testing and
development group for Glaxo Inc. Before joining Glaxo Inc., Dr. Childers
was a Research Scientist and Principal Investigator at The Upjohn Company,
responsible for the analytical methods development for controlled release
tablets, parenterals, inhalation aerosols. In addition, he was responsible

Dr. Childers received his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Indiana University
under the direction of Dr. Gary M. Hieftje and his B.S. in chemistry from Furman
University. Dr. Childers has published over 40 articles and presentations in the
area of pharmaceutical and analytical science.
